Gut Check Promotions is a premier combat sports event organizer serving Philadelphia, Wilmington, and the greater Mid-Atlantic region. Founded in 2009 by Gregg Pritchett, the Gut Check Championship Series has become a respected name in the industry, providing fighters with a platform to showcase their skills.
Our events have drawn top-tier talent from Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey, Delaware, and beyond, making Gut Check Promotions a key player in the region's combat sports scene.
Gut Check Promotions was born out of a passion for combat sports and a desire to support up-and-coming talent. With the backing of Grand Master Robert Evans and Jack Murphy, Gut Check initially hosted events at MVJ Athletics, featuring 2 to 4 events per year.
In 2018, Gut Check made a significant mark on the industry with a sold-out show featuring super heavyweights Bazooka Joe Stripling vs. Cowboy Heath Harris.
Despite challenges from the pandemic, Gut Check Promotions persevered and came back stronger, thanks to the encouragement of Rami Ibrahim of Rami Elite and Freedom Fighter Promotions. Today, Gut Check Promotions hosts 6 to 8 Kickboxing and Muay Thai events per year, expanding beyond Wilmington to other locations like South Carolina.
